Doris Mayhew

Doris (Howard) Mayhew, age 97, of Greenfield passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022, at Springhurst Health Campus while surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 30, 1925, in Lakeland, Florida to the late William and Naoma (Clay) Howard and lived much of her childhood in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Doris was a longtime resident of Greenfield and was beloved by her church family at Hancock Reformed Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children; Teresa (Stephen) Holler, Donna (Thomas) Scott, Delores (David) Johnson, James (Luann) Mayhew, and Ralph (Trina) Mayhew; fifteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Mayhew, brothers William and Frank Howard, and children William, Esther, Edward, and Dale Mayhew and son-in-law Stephen Holler.

The family will be receiving guests for calling hours at Stillinger Family Funeral home on Tuesday October 18th from 6-8pm and Wednesday October 19th from 11am-1pm. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on October 19th. Burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
