Doris Maxine Morris

Doris Maxine (Long) Morris, age 86 of Greenfield, Ind. passed away on Sunday, September 18th 2016 at her home. She was born on January 6th 1930 to the late Elvin and Fern (Pritchard) Long formerly of Liberty, Ind. Doris graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and would marry the love of her life John Daniel Morris on October 6th 1947. She was a homemaker for most of her life in Blue River Township and volunteered at Hancock Regional Hospital. She also worked for Wassons Department Store and Western Electric. Doris was a member of the Westland Friends Church for many years. Surviving Doris is her sister, Marjorie (Long) Wissler; daughters, Ellen (Robert) Stevens; Jan (Ronnie) Pitcock; 3 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents listed above; husband, John "Danny" Morris; grandsons, Todd McPherson; Brandon Pitcock; 3 brothers, Manford (Wilma), Allen (Elizabeth), and Floyd (Marie) Long. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 21st 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00pm at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 S State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
