Doris Jeanette (Smith) Shively passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021 at her apartment in Columbia City, Indiana. She was born on September 23, 1933 in Gwyneville, Indiana to Myrtle (Bundy) Smith and Roy Smith. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1952 and lived most of her life in Greenfield, Indiana.
Doris married Richard (Dick) L. Shively on November 1, 1952. They were happily married for 59 years. She was a homemaker and also worked for Hancock Memorial Hospital. Among her family and friends, she was known for her cheerful, loving, and helpful nature. Doris was a member of Dundee Missionary Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She is survived by her children: Teresa "Terry" (Michael) Arnold, Mark (Jeanette) Shively, Kris (Jay) Fawver, and Matthew Shively; grandchildren: Dana (Nathan) Hart, Brandon Arnold, Katherine (Kristie Pendlum) Arnold, Jeanette (Andy) Cochran, Vanessa (Jay) Cleveland, and Bryan Shively; 6 great grandchildren; sister; Loretta Garriott; and brother, Marlin Smith.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Dick; parents; sisters: Marjorie Potts, Dorothy Maners, Carolyn Oden; and brothers: Robert Smith, Harold Smith, Jimmy Smith, Richard Smith, and Edward Smith.
Funeral Services will take place at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana, on Friday February 19, 2021 at 2 p.m., with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
