Dorothy T. Jarvis August 10, 1928 - January 9, 2011 Dorothy T. (Hamilton) Jarvis, 82, formerly of Indianapolis and Greenfield, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born August 10, 1928 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Arthur & Margaret (Augustine) Hamilton. Dorothy attended Broad Ripple High School, was a member of the Drum & Bugle Core during WWII, a member of the Moose Lodge of Greenfield and the American Legion Post 276 of Beech Grove. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church of Fortville. She is survived by a daughter, Dottie Beagle; son, Leon F. "Bud" (Bony) Jarvis; grandchildren, Brad, Robyn & Bryan Jarvis, Lori Neely, Angie Renner and John Beagle; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Leon F. Jarvis, Sr. in 1991, of whom she was married to for 44 years; a son, Arthur E. Jarvis; her brother, Ronald Hamilton and her sister, Mary Reel. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Calling will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:30 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
