Dorothy "Dot" Rockey December 2, 1936 - July 7, 2014 Dorothy "Dot" LaVaughn Rockey, 77, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Dot was born to the late William H. and Nellie E. (Moore) Phares on December 2, 1936 in Shelby County, Indiana. She married Gerald E. Rockey on January 30, 1955. Dot was a homemaker, who also liked to play cards for nickels and work crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Dot is survived by her children; Diana (Dale) Linsley of Greenfield, Tony (Julie) Rockey of Indianapolis, Roger (Michelle) Rockey of Beech Grove, and David (Gloria) Rockey of Huntsville, Alabama; six grandchildren; Kyle Rockey, Carmen Rockey, Ryan Rockey, Katelynn Linsley, Heather Parton, Scott Hicks, three great-grandchildren, Shelby Parton, Luke White and Kaylie Mashburn. Dot is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald; a daughter, Terrie McCormick; and her brothers Harold, Paul, Clyde, John and Herbert Phares and sister, Ruby Knoop; Friends may call on Thursday July 10, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, and 1780 W Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will follow on Friday July 11, 2014 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
