Douglas Wayne Mckinney

Douglas Wayne McKinney, 62, Greenfield, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. Doug was born on July 12, 1959 in Indianapolis, to Russell Howard and Avanell (Keeton) McKinney. Doug graduated from New Palestine High School. He married his love, Lisa Hensley. Doug was a tremendously loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Doug was employed with Heat Exchanger Design for over 30 years in Indianapolis as a welder. Doug loved to fish and golf as well as tinker with mechanics fixing this and that. He was also a huge Colts fan. Doug served our nation while in the U.S. National Guard. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa McKinney; their son, Matthew McKinney; mother, Avanell McKinney; siblings: Debra (Billy) Day, Karen Billingsley, Darren (Diane) McKinney, and Donna McKinney; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many work colleagues. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Russell McKinney. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140, with the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Face masks and hand sanitizing are heavily encouraged. Burial will take place in Asbury Cemetery with military rites afforded.
