C. Earl Meadors April 23, 1934 - October 14, 2006 C. Earl Meadors, 72, of New Palestine, passed away Saturday morning October 14, 2006 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born April 23, 1934 in Indianapolis, Ind. to the late Herbert and Eddeth (Jones) Meadors. He was a 1952 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School where he played basketball on their 1952 State Finals runner-up team. He was a painter for Local 47 and spent much of his career painting for Eli Lilly & Co. until he retired in 1996. He is a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Greenfield. Earl was an avid card player, former square dancer, loved to travel, was an avid sports enthusiast and was an annual supporter of Greenfield Central sports. He survived by his wife Mildred (Browning) Williamson Meadors whom he married on June 20, 1996; sons Eric (Jamie) Meadors of Oaklandon, Jim Meadors of Marion; daughters, Cindy (Burt) Chamberlain of St. Augustine, Fla., Kelli (Wes) Caldwell of Jacksonville, Fla.; step-son, Terry Drane of Greenwood; step-daughters, Carol Fassett of Lilliwaup, Wash., Sandy Richardson of New Tazwell, Tenn.; sister, Sue Roderick of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diana K. Meadors in 1985; and his brother, Russell Meadors. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1610 S. State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
