Edith R. Atkins April 27, 1928 - October 30, 2010 Edith R. Atkins, 82, a resident of Greenfield passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born April 27, 1928 in Covington, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Cecil Riddle and Grace (Sweet) Hopper. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She worked for the Greenfield School Corporation for 5 years and was a member of the Wesleyan Church of Greenfield. She loved sewing, crocheting, raising flowers, gardening and most of all her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Atkins of Greenfield; daughters, Barbara (Jim) Watson of Fountaintown, Edithann (Matt) Hudson of Greenfield, Rhonda (Dee) Griffith of Greenfield; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Wayne" Atkins; daughter, Carolyn May Wright and infant daughter, Marjorie Lou Atkins. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, of Greenfield with Rev. Rex Albring officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
