Edith A. Lacey August 3, 1915 - October 5, 2010 Edith A Lacey, 95, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 3, 1915 in Hancock County, IN to the late Martin A. and Lora (Coffin) Roberts. Edith was a graduate of Westland High School, worked at Eli Lilly and retired from the City of Greenfield at the age of 83. She was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church and the Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She is survived by brother, Joseph Roberts of Lebanon, IN; sisters, Betty Oldham of Chicago, IL, Ann Shively of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Lacey; son, Robert W. Lacey; daughter, JoAnn Lacey; brothers, Hugh and Wallace Roberts; sister, Kathryn Jackson. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, with Dr. Paul Kitley officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Greenfield Christian Church, 23 N. East Street Greenfield, IN 46140 or the Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice, 1560 B. North State Street Greenfield, IN 46140. Comments The Lacey's were neighbors and dear friends of my parents, Harry and Bertha Easton and me when we lived in Greenfield from 1947 to 1960. " I often think of the good times we shared shopping, eating dinner together and how she enjoyed a fresh, warm black raspberry pie from our bakery, Easton's pies. What wonderful memories of Edith to reflect upon.
