Obituary

Edward "Ed" C. Overbeck, 82 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, Indiana. He was born on June 15, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Robert and Margaret (Gallagher) Overbeck.

He graduated from Warren Central High School and later earned his associate degree from Ball State University. He enjoyed a successful career with CSO Architects, where he worked for many years before retiring in March 2020. Ed was an avid fisherman who found great joy in spending time on the water. He also had a passion for antiquing and was an enthusiastic collector of fishing lures, reels, and rods.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sally (Roberts) Overbeck, whom he married Sept. 15, 1962; daughters, Jodi Breeding, Kelli (Trent Heller) Overbeck; brothers, John Overbeck, Mike Overbeck, and Allen Overbeck; grandchildren, Brooke Bonek and Brenna Bonek.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and his brother, David Overbeck.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
