Elaina Jeanne (Kissel) Shipley

Elaina Jeanne (Kissel) Shipley, 78, Greenfield, passed away on November 18, 2023. Elaina was born on February 11, 1945, in Indianapolis, to John Hilbert and Leola Rose (Keller) Kissel. She is a 1963 graduate of Warren Central High School. She married her love David L. Shipley on September 1, 1963.

Elaina was a simple and quiet woman. Family gatherings were always special to her as well as David's extended family who embraced Elaina and her mother from an early age. She loved watching TV and completing word-search puzzles. She had two yorkie dogs whom she adored.

Elaina is survived by her daughter, Micki (Tom) Simunek; grandsons: Dutch, Kaiser, and Brady; sister-in-law, Susan Fuller; brother-in-law, Dr. William "Bill" (Donna) Shipley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David of 54 ½ years.

A special thank you to the staff at Brickyard Health at Brandywine for caring for Elaina in her final years.

Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the memorial service immediately following.
