Elizabeth J. Callis October 10, 1919 - August 4, 2007 Elizabeth Jane Callis, 87, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007. Born on October 10, 1919 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Thomas A. and Azalia B. (Sines) Byres, Elizabeth went on to marry George S. Callis on April 15, 1941 and worked several years in the admitting department at Hancock Regional Hospital. She enjoyed oil painting, needlework, and crafts of various kinds, and was also a member of the Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield. She is survived by: daughters, Sharon McClarnon of Greenfield, Patricia Ball of Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, and Deborah (Atis) Birznieks of Greenfield; grandsons, Daniel (Tanya) McClarnon, Michael (Kira) McClarnon, Alexander Ball and Gregory Birznieks; granddaughter, Heather (Fabiano) Mendes; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Amelia and Emmanuel. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bradley United Methodist Church, Greenfield or Hancock Regional Hospice.
