Elizabeth L. "Betty" Simmons March 16, 1915 - July 26, 2012 Elizabeth L. "Betty" Simmons, 97, of Greenfield died Thursday July 26, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice, Greenfield. She was born March 16, 1915 in Hancock County, Indiana to the late John W. & Carrie (Barrett) Simmons. She was a graduate of Charlottesville High School, worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for over 40 years, a member of Nameless Creek Christian Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She loved flowers, gardening and living in the country. She is survived by her nieces, Marilyn Olvey of Salisbury, NC, Barbara Simmons of Greenfield, nephew Robert Simmons of Anaheim, CA, several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Virginia Simmons, Alice Gene Simmons, brothers, George and Dale Simmons. Funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday July 28, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Pastor Roger Kinion officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the donors favorite charity.
