Emma L Neely

Emma L Neely, age 92, of Covington, Louisiana, formerly of Greenfield, passed away on February 4, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 20, 1927, in Haleyville, Alabama to the late William R. Kirkwood & Abbie L. (Doyle) Kirkwood. Emma graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, MO. She married the love of her life, Robert Neely, on March 27, 1963. Emma was a devoted member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She spent her career working many various and interesting jobs until her retirement in 1977. Emma enjoyed canning vegetables, quilting and spending as much time as she could in the garden, but most of all, she loved spending time with her precious family. Left to cherish Emma's memory are her children; Jeff (Claudia) Neely, Louise Walker & Patricia Neely; numerous grand and great-grandchildren & several nieces, nephews and cousins. Emma is proceeded in death by her parents listed above, her husband, Robert in 2005, children; Larry, Billy & Danny Skelton, Patsy Johnson, Linda Chapman and Carol Johnson; 3 brothers, William, Bill & John Kirkwood, and 3 sisters; Evelyn Moyer, Mary Pratt & Nellie Wadley. Visitation for Emma will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana.
