Emogene Slone April 5, 1924 - June 8, 2012 Emogene Slone age 88 years, a resident of Greenfield died Friday June 8, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born April 5, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Edgar & Mamie (Mackie) Gresham. She loved watching American Bandstand, playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emogene in her younger years performed in the U.S.O. for the troops where she met her husband Hershel. She is survived by her son, James (Barbara) Slone of New Palestine, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel in 1992, a son, William, siblings, Louie, Ernest, Pearl, Harrison and J.C. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood. Visitation will Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
