Ervin L. "Andy" Andis July 5, 1929 - December 25, 2009 Ervin L. "Andy" Andis, 80 a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born July 5, 1929 in Greenfield to the late Earl and Zelda (Gambrel) Andis. Mr. Andis was a member of the Indiana National Guard from 1951-1957, retired in 1982 from Tyson Manufacturing as a truck driver and worked in the maintenance department for the Hancock-Madison Joint Services from 1982-1991. He also worked for 20 years for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Safety Patrol. He is survived by Companion, Joann Miller, of Indianapolis; son, Les Andis of Greenfield; brothers, Joe Andis of Florida, Bob and Jake Andis of Greenfield; sisters, Bonnie Arens of Greenwood, Nancy Vansittert of Greenwood; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Andis; sons, Charles and Michael Andis; sister, Jean Chapple and brother, Bill Andis. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel with Pastor Danny Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
