Esther G England

Esther G. England July 28, 1930 - November 1, 2010 Esther G. England, 80, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born July 28, 1930 in Decatur County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Claud J. and Bertha (Gookins) Linville. Esther graduated from Sandusky High School and Indiana Business College. She was employed in the office of Dr. Garber, Schaffer, White and Kaiser for 13 years and worked for the Veterans Administration for 18 years. She was a member of the Olive Branch Christian Church, Indianapolis, and retired member of the Indiana Guard Reserve with the rank of Major and also was a Kentucky Colonel. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Donald W. England of Greenfield; step-sons, Donald J. and Michael A. England both of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold M. Linville; sister, Anna Hicks. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 4, 2010 with Rev. Paul Enyart officiating. Private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
