Eugene H. Jacoby April 3, 1936 - July 15, 2010
Eugene H. Jacoby, 74, a resident of Greenfield, formerly of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1936 in Clayton, Wisconsin and grew up in Milltown, WI was the son of the late Stephen Jacoby and Alice Bigler-Dawson who survives.
Eugene was a graduate of Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, retired from the retail and wholesale hardware business in 1998, was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, current President of the Brandywine Wind Band, and former member of the Lions and Optimist Clubs. He was a member of the church choir, Boy Scout leader, and coached baseball. He was former president of the church council and former youth director.
He is survived by his wife, Marlys Carlson-Jacoby of Greenfield; sons, Phillip Jacoby of Fishers and Michael (Heidi) Jacoby of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Anna, Courtney, Elyse, James, Megan and Spencer.
He was preceded in death by step-father, Arthur Dawson, grandparents who raised him, Ernest and Elsie Wenger.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Gember officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Milltown, WI.
