Evelyn Joyce Apple

Evelyn "Joyce" Apple, 90, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Greenfield Health Care. She was born on March 26, 1927 in Charlottesville, IN, to the late Dale & Julia (Niles) Haywood. Joyce graduated from Greenfield High School and spent her career working for Charlottesville High School, I.G.A. Food Service, and as a homemaker caring for her family. She attended Charlottesville United Methodist Church where she was actively involved with the Ladies Auxiliary. She married the love of her life, Paul Apple on October 16, 1948. Surviving Joyce is her daughter, Vicki Morris; brother, Earl (Betty Sue) Haywood; sisters, Shirley Wall; and Sarah "Patty" (Jerry) Shaw. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; brother Dale Haywood; and sister, Linda Jackson. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A graveside service will take place following the visitation at 1:30pm at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 S. State St, Greenfield, IN 46140. Memorial contributions in memory of Joyce may be sent to the Charlottesville United Methodist Church, 230 S. Carthage Rd, Charlottesville, IN 46117. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
