Evelyn Joan (Boles) Cooper, 87, Connersville, passed away on the eve of her husband's birthday, March 21, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1936, in Greenfield, IN, to Roy Clarence and Mary Ruth (Jack) Boles. Joan attended Greenfield High School. She married her love, Wayne C. "Bud" Cooper on August 22, 1952.
Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Joan was a homemaker, but also took great pride in supporting and helping her husband with their crop and cattle farm, Valley View Farm. She loved farming. But even more, she loved her family to the fullest. Her son-in-law and daughter-in-law were accepted with open arms. She supported her grandchildren and their sporting events and activities. Her caring and loving nature greatly impacted her family's lives to this day. When Bud became ill, she was his around-the-clock caregiver. For about fifteen years she and Wayne attended Rushville Nazarene church. There she taught children and teens, sharing Jesus love for them. In her later years, she attended Gortner Memorial Nazarene Church in Connersville.
Joan is survived by her loving children: Debi (Terry) MacKay, Mike (Debbie) Cooper, and Bruce Cooper; grandchildren: Matt MacKay, Cassie Oring, Justin MacKay, Jenny DeArmond, Mindy Chomel, and J.P. Cooper; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud of 54 years; brother, Howard Boles; sister, Della Bowman; and granddaughter, Morgan Cooper.
