Everad Comstock October 5, 1921 - December 31, 2007 Everad "Ed" A. Comstock, 86, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Community East Hospital. He was born October 5, 1921 in Shelbyville, IN to the late Roland and Fern (Tucker) Comstock. He worked as an engineer for Schwitzer Automotive for 36 years, retiring in 1985 and was a faithful member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, IN. He is survived by a son, Joel Comstock (Rosie) of Greenwood; sister, Barbara; brother J.R.; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby June Comstock, whom he married July 5, 1943 and sister, Betty. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at Old Bethel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis with Pastor Robert McMillen officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, IN. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Comments Papaw was a wonderful man who has given his family and friends a wonderful legacy. I'm so sorry I did not make it to Indianapolis in time to see him once more " and know how much he treasured each of you. Please celebrate his and Mimi's lives as you incorporate the best of what they have taught you into your own. That heritage passed on is one I know they would appreciate the most.
