Ewald "Chuck" Schroeder, Jr. October 4, 1925 - April 9, 2010
Ewald "Chuck" Schroeder, Jr., 84, a resident of Ingalls, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born October 4, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of the late Ewald, Sr. and Frances (Uczznski) Schroeder.
Chuck served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, retired from General Motors in Detroit in 1988 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Pendleton American Legion Post 117, member and deacon of the Greenfield Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved to fish, hunt, make bird houses, collect cars, coins and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carolyn (Davis) Schroeder of Ingalls; sons, Chuck, James, and Timothy (Tammy) Schroeder; step-children, Debby Boone, Mark Boone, Jeanne (Charlie) Meadows; grandchildren, Donnie and Jacob Schroeder, Kathi Boone Crawford, Charles Wade, Dennis and Kirt Hankins, Casie Coil Parish and Jennifer Coil; 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor Gary Case officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
