F. Keith Stillinger

July 15, 1933 — October 8, 2018

Frank Keith Stillinger, 85 years, a resident of Greenfield and former resident of Indianapolis passed away Monday morning October 8, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Unit, Greenfield. He was born July 15, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Penn., to the late Harold Stillinger & Ruth (Ward) Patton. Keith served his country in US Navy on the USS Meredith destroyer from 1953 until 1955, graduated from Kent State University with a bachelors degree in political science, former president of the Kent State Alumni Association, member of the Phi Delta Theta and was a retired self-employed financial advisor/stock broker. Previously, he was a corporate executive for Ford Motor Company, WABCO, Alcoa, Allis Chalmers, J.I. Case, Ford Tracker Company and owned/operated a John Deere Construction Dealership. He was a member and former Chairman of CICOA, and a member and former elder for the Southeastern Church of Christ, Indianapolis where his passion led him to mentor many men financially, emotionally and most of all, spiritually. Keith enjoyed playing racquetball, handball, squash, was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his family and most of all a Corvette enthusiast and member of Corvette Indy corvette club with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carole Mae (Harman) Stillinger, sons, Phillip (Cathy) Stillinger, David (April) Stillinger, daughters, Kimberly (Murry) Dixon, Jennifer (David) Adams, brother, Donald (Michele) Stillinger, sister, Kathleen (Stillinger) Keller, grandchildren, Lacey, Kristin, Phillip Jr, Murry II, Charlie, Annie, Molly, Joshua, Jordan, Gavin, Caleb, Kent, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and his brother-in-law, C. Randolph Keller. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Southeastern Church of Christ, 6500 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46203. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, with military honors provided by the US Navy and the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday October 11, 2018 at the church. The Stillinger family would like to thank Dr. Michael Busk and his staff at St. Vincent Hospital, Kelly from Suburban Home Health, the staff at Hancock Regional Hospital and the Hancock Regional Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion for Keith.
