Florence Roland

Florence M. Roland, 94 of Greenfield passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Country Home Health Care, Charlottesville. She was born August 1, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late Charles B. and Esther M. (Graham) Gerber. Florence married Earl L. Roland on August 3, 1940. She was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She retired in 1979 from Rodys Department Store, J.C. Pennys and P.N. Hirsch Florence had many hobbies including her flower and vegetable garden, playing cards, cooking for her friends and family, the holidays, and her 63 years on the farm. She is survived by son; Ronald (Nancy) Roland of Greenfield, daughter Joyce (Bill) Kuhn of Urbandale, Iowa, sister; Esther Shelton of Florida, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Earl L. Roland, sisters; Martha Logan, Dorothy Cazee, and Mildred Garner, and brother; David Lee. Friends may call 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday November 13, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Services will be 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown.
