Forest B. Sluder March 15, 1921 - November 8, 2006
Forest B. Sluder, 85, of Greenfield passed away November 8, 2006 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1921 in Clay County, IN to the late Roy George and Hala Bernetta (Neal) Sluder.
He worked for Eli Lilly for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a graduate of Coalmont High School in Jasonville, IN and received a degree from the Denver Trade School. He was also a member of The Bridge Church in Fortville, IN.
He is survived by wife, Jeanne Ann (Shelton) Sluder of Greenfield; daughter, Sandra Elaine Shartle of Brownsburg; step-daughter, Tamyra Lynn Tinnes of Grand Rapids, MI; son, Scott Lane Sluder of Indianapolis; step-sons, Al Gable of Greenfield and Patrick Gable of Fortville; grandchildren, Nathan Gable, Caleb Gable, Dannie Gable, Rickey Gable, Candace Sluder, Samantha Sluder, Megan Tinnes, Shannon Tinnes and Ryan Shartle; great grandchild, Anna Gable; sisters, Kathryn Fisk of Zenia, OH and Ruth Strahla of Indianapolis; brothers, Neal Sluder of Carlisle, IN and Richard Sluder of Jeffersonville.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. November 14, 2006 at The Bridge Church, in Fortville, with Pastor Rick Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call November 13, 2006 from 4-8 P.M. at The Bridge Church in Fortville. Arrangements entrusted to Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home.
