Frances A Thomas January 25, 1915 - September 23, 2012 Frances A. Thomas, 97, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospice in Greenfield. Frances was born in Greenfield, Indiana on January 25, 1915 to the late Thomas and Mabel (Melton) Sullivan. Frances was a graduate of Greenfield High School and was a homemaker after her marriage to Virgil Thomas on September 6, 1936. Frances was active in her community. She was a long time member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, The Eastern Star of Greenfield, Gleaners Home Economic Club and was a seventy year member of Bradley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son, Jerry (Daleen) Thomas of Knightstown, IN., daughters Barbara Sturm of Greenfield, IN. and Rebecca (Paul) Wills of Rockledge, FL., grandchildren, Jay (Jana) Thomas, Joe (Christy) Thomas, Lyn Polston, Stephanie (Phil) Huber, Tom (Marla) Sturm, Bill Sturm and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Virgil in 1977, parents and son-in-law Chuck Sturm. Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home ~ Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield Indiana 46140 with Pastor Wade Compton officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 5pm 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of floral tributes memorial contributions may be made to Bradley United Methodist Church, Greenfield, IN.
