Francis L. "Buck" Hendren

Francis L. "Buck" Hendren, age 83 of Greenfield passed away September 30, 2021, at Hancock Health. He was born July 2, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana to the late William and Ula (Jones) Hendren. Buck served in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia (McPherson) on October 3, 1959. Together they made their home in Greenfield and raised their family. Prior to his retirement in 2008 Buck was an electrician in manufacturing and construction. He enjoyed archery, camping, NFL football, and fishing and was a member of the V.F.W. Above all, Buck was a devoted and loving Dad, and papaw. He is survived by his daughters, Jean (Gene) Polk, Mary Hendren and Penny Tanner; siblings, Wilma Stanley, and Vernon Hendren; 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Buck is preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia; and siblings, Leah Sallee, William Hendren, Rebecca Snelson, Velma Hart and Beverly Brandes; great granddaughter, Kelsey Jane Polk, and son-in-law, Junior Tanner.
