Francis Frank Sturm October 27, 1925 - October 20, 2011
Francis (Frank) Sturm age 85 years, a resident of Greenfield, Indiana passed away Thursday October 20, 2011 at Kindred Healthcare, Greenfield.
He was born October 27, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Orville and Mary Jane (Chew) Sturm.
He was a US Army Para-Trooper in WWII, worked as manager at Smitherman Hatcheries for 33 years and as maintenance supervisor for Greenfield Central Schools for 15 years. He was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Hancock Masonic Lodge #101, Greenfield York Rite, KYCH and Marvin Isley York Rite College. Frank and Helen were longtime square-dancers with the Riley Wranglers.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Steelman) Sturm, sons, Gale (Cathy) Sturm, Steven(Norda) Sturm, Timothy(Mary Elizabeth) Sturm all of Greenfield, sisters, Marie Park of Indianapolis and Edith (Chuck) Swager of Howe, Indiana, brother, John W. (Virgina) Sturm of Mooresville, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Hollis Sturm and Charles Sturm.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday October 24, 2011 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday October 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

I will always have good memories of Frank. I believe they go as far back in my life as when I was a child and the Easter chickens. What joy it was to know where those " cute fuzzy balls of happiness come from...not eggs or other chickens, but from Mr. Sturm and the hatchery! I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
