Fred Pelley November 28, 1946 - October 11, 2009 Fred Pelley, 62, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born November 28, 1946 in Hazard, Kentucky and was the son of the late Fred L. and Ethel (Hammonds) Pelley. Fred was a graduate of Tech High School, served his country in the U.S. Army and was an Executive in automotive advertising at the Indianapolis Star News for 25 years, retiring in 1994. He owned and operated Snake Promotions, a band booking business, attended Brandywine Community Church, taught Sunday School at Providence Missionary in Lawrence, Indiana and was a member of the Hancock Lodge #101. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice (Isenhart) Pelley of Greenfield; son, Vance (Cathy) Pelley of Greenfield; grandchildren, Candice Pelley of Indianapolis, Anthony Pelley of Arkansas; 6 step-grandchildren, Myranda and Emilee Peacock of Indianapolis; Spencer and Hunter Phegley of Greenfield; Amanda and Valerie Phegley of Greenfield; great-granddaughter, Kristin N. Pelley of Arkansas; brother, Ronnie Pelley of Indianapolis; sister, Carol Hankins of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Kathy Isenhart of Anderson and Aunt Josie Faulk of Plainfield, IN. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Pelley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel. Entombment will follow with military graveside rights provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic service provided by the Hancock Lodge #101 at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Funeral Home, contributions Pasco Chapel may be 1780 sent West to the Main Fred Street Pelley Greenfield, Memorial Fund IN 46140. c/o Stillinger Family
