Gail Youngclaus

Gail Youngclaus August 17, 1946 - September 12, 2008 Gail (Mohr) Youngclaus, 62, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born August 17, 1946 in Shelbyville, IN and was the daughter of Maurice and Cecilia (Voelker) Mohr. Gail was a 1964 graduate of Hancock Central and went on to Indiana University where she obtained a bachelors degree in education. She was a teacher at Greenfield Middle School with Hancock County Joint Services. She attended St. Thomas Catholic Church, Fortville, enjoyed cooking, sewing, and loved being with her family. She is survived by her husband, Ron Youngclaus of Greenfield; mother, Cecilia (Voelker) Mohr of Greenfield; son, Sean (Tarra Willey) Youngclaus of Greenfield; daughter, Wendy (Nathan) Schmiedicke of Philadelphia, PA; five siblings, Roy (Marilyn) Mohr of Rushville; Ronnie (Sarah) Mohr of Greenfield; Robert (Ann) Mohr of South Carolina; Joyce (Mike) Holmes of Greenfield; Joe (Pat) Mohr of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah, Joseph, and Josiah Schmiedicke, all of Philadelphia, PA; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; Maurice Mohr. A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Gail Youngclaus education fund, c/o Greenfield Banking Company, 1920 North State Street, Greenfield, IN. 46140.
