Garnet J. Lowder September 27, 1912 - February 18, 2008 Garnet J. (Leary) Lowder, 95, a resident of Greenfield, passed away, Monday, February 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born September 27, 1912 in Hancock County to the late Thomas "Bud" and Margaret "Maggie" (Ireton) Leary. She graduated from Maxwell High School, was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Greenfield where she was a Sunday school teacher, song, and singing leader for over 60 years. She enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, was a homemaker and farmers wife. She is survived by a daughter, Rhea (Lowder) Combs of Greenfield; sons, Marion Philip Lowder of McCordsville and James R. Lowder of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lowder; sisters, Olive Price, Pauline Leary, Lavonne Beeson, and Violet Beeson; brothers, Thomas, Everrett, Lee, Carole "Jody", Dewey, and Charles Leary. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Rev. Don Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene of Greenfield, 1980 S.
