Gary Cecil

Gary Lamar Cecil passed away August 27, 2019 after a long, courageous fight. He was surrounded by his adoring family. He did not want to leave them. However, what he left behind was his loving family and strength for them to carry on and remember the good, fun times, and sometimes tough days they all shared. Gary was born June 1, 1951 to the late Joseph and Virginia Cecil in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up, raised his family and lived in Greenfield, Indiana. Gary worked at Fort Benjamin Harrison for the Department of the Army as a certified Journeyman. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing whenever he got a chance. Gary was a very proud parent of his 2 children and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gena Cecil; son, Justin Cecil; daughter, Andrea Cecil; grandson, Ronin Cecil; sister, Donna Dismore. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Doris Neal. Gary will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana.
