Gary Keith Scheffer

Gary Keith Scheffer October 15, 1941 - June 3, 2008 Gary Keith Scheffer, age 66 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Tuesday morning, June 3, 2008 at St. Vincents Hospital, Indianapolis.He was born October 15, 1941 in Newark, Ohio and is the son of the late Donald and Geneve Scheffer.Gary attended both Bloomington College and Ohio State University. He retired in 2007 from Rapid Delivery, Indianapolis and was formerly an engineer with Peerless Pump of Indianapolis. Gary was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association, former president of the Indianapolis Kennel Club, an avid harness racing fan and love spending time at both Anderson and Shelbyville Horse Racing Tracks. He also enjoyed raising Belgian Tervueren Shepherds.His daughter, Nicole and her husband, Matt Ringer of Greenfield, survive him.Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Private burial will be Friday at Newark Memorial Garden Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
