Gene William Meenach, age 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 16, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1948. Gene was married to the love of his life, Cynthia Sue Meenach, for 51 years.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was known for his strong faith in God and his hard work. Gene was truly a jack-of-all-trades in construction, always willing to lend a helping hand and to use his skills to serve others. In his free time, Gene enjoyed fishing and metal detecting, hobbies that brought him both peace and joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Sue Meenach; his children, Jeremy Allen Meenach (Lori Meenach), and Melissa Ann Bennett (Randy Bennett); his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alexia, Angelina, Jeremy Jr., Marcus, and Noah; and his great-grandchild, Magnolia-Lynn Meenach.He is also survived by his brothers, twins Kurt and Karl Meenach (Cheyenne Meenach).
Gene was preceded in death by his twin brother, Dean Meenach; his brother, Bobby Meenach; and his parents, Mary and Robert Meenach.
Gene graduated from Lawrence Central High School and carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life.
Gene’s legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time TBD for family and friends.
