Gene Tuxhorn March 11, 1927 - January 31, 2008
Gene Tuxhorn, 80, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 11, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Fred Roush and Ora Dean (Alexander) Roush. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, worked for Diamond Chain as a welder and in machine repair for 26 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed woodworking and jigsaw puzzles. He is survived by his wife Joyce Tuxhorn whom he married April 4, 1964; daughters, Marge Burress of Greenwood, Sandi Thomas of Morristown, Sally Richardson of New Palestine, Vicki Farmer of Greenfield; son, Rick Blackford of Perkinsville, IN; brother, Emmett Tuxhorn of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran Honor Guard.
