George E. Link February 27, 1921 - December 16, 2007
George E. Link, 86, Cumberland, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 at home.
He was born February 27, 1921 in Greensburg, IN, the son of George and Ethel (Tucker) Link.
He was a graduate of Greensburg High School and served in the Air Force in World War II. He was a talented musician and played the piano and organ professionally for several years. He had many hobbies and especially loved to build and fly model airplanes. He served on the Hancock County Council, the Hancock Bank and Trust board of directors, and was retired from Hancock Rural Telephone Company. He was a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church.
He is survived by Dorothy Griffith Link, his wife of 66 years; daughters Mary Link of Indianapolis and Jo Anne (Joseph) Zins of St. Paul, MN; three sisters and one brother; three grandchildren, Randy Farmer, Michael Farmer, and Debra (Jim) Farmer Stewart, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.
