George Schilling Scott May 1, 1917 - June 25, 2007 George Schilling Scott, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday June 25, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1917 in New Palestine to the late Edgar and Mada (Schilling) Scott. Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Army during WWII, retired from GM Truck & Bus of Indianapolis in 1987 and worked at the State Fairgrounds until January 2005. He was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church, Wayne Guthrie Masonic Lodge # 753, and an avid bowler. He is survived by wife, Sue Ann (Thrall) Scott of Indianapolis, whom he married July 20, 1985; son, Ralph (Patricia) Scott of Barberton, OH; step sons, Gary (Dawn) McDonald of Franklin, David (Robin) McDonald of Manilla, Phillip McDonald of Waldron; daughters, Lucille "Lucy" (Bill) Moit of Rensselaer, Carol Ann (David) Lamb of Farmland; step daughter, Sherri Sauer of Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Scott was also preceded in death by first wife, Mattie Laura Scott in 1959; brothers, Paul Scott, Harold Scott; sister, Florence Scott, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday June 29, 2007 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
