George Stunda January 8, 1932 - September 27, 2008
George Stunda, 76, a resident of Mt. Comfort, passed away, Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Community East Hospital.
He was born January 8, 1932 in Donora, Pennsylvania to the late John and Mary (Cisvak) Stunda.
George was a Marine Corp Veteran and served in the Korean War. He graduated from Donora High School in 1949 and retired from Ford in 1997 after many years of service. He was a member of the Buck Creek Township Fire Department. The past four years George enjoyed his time at the Golden Living Center Brandywine in Greenfield.
He is survived by eight children; daughter, Sandra (Phil) Olson of Shirley; daughter, Joni Moeller of Mt. Comfort; son, David Stunda of Indianapolis; daughter, Libby (Barry) Brown of Pendleton; son, Chris (Tammy) Stunda of Wilkinson; daughter, Julie Strohl of Anderson; son, Tim Stunda of New Castle; son, Tom Stunda of Indianapolis; 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; brothers, Andy and Tom Stunda; sister, Margie Felcosi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Stunda; brothers, Steve and John Stunda.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor Ryan McCarty officiating. Private burial will follow at a later date. Friends may call Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Buck Creek Township Fire Department, 3288 N 600 W, Greenfield, IN 46140.
