Gertrude I. Priest September 3, 1911 - December 18, 2010 Gertrude I. Priest, 99, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Brandywine. She was born September 3, 1911 in Noble County, Indiana to the late Stanley and Coral (Stage) Surfus. Gertrude was a graduate of Ligonier High School, worked for P.N. Hirsh Company of Greenfield and was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Hope Rebekah Lodge and the Ligonier O.E.S. She is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann Bennett of Indianapolis; son, James E. (Bonnie) Priest of Greenfield; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Priest, 2004; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor Michael Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Aseracare Hospice, 3905 Vincennes Road Ste 504 Indianapolis, Indiana 46268-3057. Comments Such a caring and beautiful person.
