Goldie M. Burns September 22, 1943 - November 1, 2014 Goldie M (Biggs) Burns, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at her home. Goldie was born on September 22, 1943 to the late Martha H. (Biggs) and Lawrence W. Biggs in Wheeling, WV. She earned her Associates Degree from San Antonio College before working in the Christmas Shop her parents owned until she retired. Goldie attended St. Davids Episcopal Church. She was a proud member of the Ladys Oriental Shrines, of which she was a past High Priestess, the Order of the Eastern Star, and she was a member of the Lone Star Republican Womens Club. She was very active in the election circuit, serving as the precinct Chairman and Election Judge for Bexar County. She was also a Daughter of the King with the St. Albans Episcopal Church in El Cajon, CA. Goldie is survived by her son, Lawrence Burns; her grandchildren, McKenna and Donovan Burns; her sister Marsha (Lee) VanDuyn; and a nephew, Austin VanDuyn. Goldie is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Biggs. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 PM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
