Grace (Baker) Rea February 12, 1932 - June 5, 2008
Grace (Baker) Rea, 76, a resident of Indianapolis and former resident of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2008 at St.Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Grace was born February 12, 1932 in Hardinsburg, Indiana to the late Louis C. and Alice (Cooper) Baker.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years retiring in 1992 and was a graduate of the Indianapolis General Hospital in 1955. She loved to nurture and garden orchid flowers, she was a gourmet cook, an avid reader, and an amateur musician.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Ralph Rea of Indianapolis whom she married May 9, 1959; sisters, Ruth (Robert) Weller of Indianapolis and Nola Andress of Spenard, Alaska. She was preceded in death by daughter, Natilie Rea and sister, Betty Baldauf.
Friends may call for a memorial visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel Greenfield.

Comments Will always remember her kindness and helpfulness in the doctor's office when I would come in with one or more of the boys for an appointment. I remember she " called me "Margy" which was a nickname only family used for me then so she became like a family member to me as well. Even when she was contending with her own health problems, there was still a smile for everyone. Never got to hear her play the mandolin but I know she enjoyed it a lot. She will be missed by all who knew her.
