Granville M. Warrum March 21, 1917 - May 12, 2008 Granville M. Warrum, 91, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at 6:10 am at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton Florida. The middle of three sons born of Arthur and Pauline Warrum, Granville "Granny" Warrum came into this world March 21, 1917. Born and reared in Greenfield, Indiana he graduated from Greenfield High School (1935) and attended Purdue University through its Indianapolis extension. He and his wife of 59 years Ellena (Carlton) Warrum and their son Dallas lived in Greenfield and Maxwell, Indiana prior to settling in their new post World War II house, located in Beech Grove, Indiana. He retired in 1975 from Eli Lilly and Company of Indianapolis after 35 years of successful service. "Granny" and his wife, Ellena resided for 4 years near Kalamazoo, Michigan before resettling in Sun City Center, Florida, where he lived for the past 27 years. While residing in Florida and following the 1995 death of his wife, Ellena Gran married Ruby Shull on April 24, 2000. Ruby was a fellow Eli Lilly retiree living near Bradenton, Florida. Gran was a member of the United Church of Christ in Sun City Center, a 32nd degree Mason of the Hancock County Masonic Lodge 101 in Greenfield, a member of the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite, past member of the Beech Grove Town Council and the Beech Grove Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Shull-Warrum of Sun City Center; son, Dallas M. (Elaine) Warrum of Kalamazoo, MI; two granddaughters, Tricia (Ray) Kennedy of Phoenix, AZ and Tammy (Brian) Holt of Kalamazoo, MI. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Rev. John Paulson officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, May 16, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. provided by the Hancock County Masonic Lodge 101. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 or the Hancock County Masonic Lodge 101; 661 Tague Street Greenfield, IN 46140. Comments Thank you God for taking Grandpa home. He is greatly missed here on earth but knowing that he is in your arms now is the greatest gift you could have given us after " such a loss. Grandpa was wonderful person who had and will also have a love for his family, friends and above all god. He was a man who made us smile even though he was a little stubborn.....Grandpa was just plain AWESOME! Grandpa you will never be forgotten! I love you! See you in heaven someday!
