Griffie Lee Allen May 15, 1921 - October 4, 2013 Griffie Lee Allen age 92, a resident of Indianapolis passed away Friday, morning October 4, 2013 at Abbie, Hunt & Bryce Home of Indianapolis. He was born May 15, 1921 in Monroe County, Kentucky to the late James & Hattie (Reed) Allen. He owned & operated Griffie Allen Roofing and Siding, Indianapolis and served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed playing cards and going to Casinos. He is survived by his sons, Ricky Allen, Terry Allen, Darrell Allen all of Indianapolis, daughter, Linda (Michael) Miller of Greenfield, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, wife, Betty Allen in 2008, son, Michael Allen, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral service will be 12 noon Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield with military graveside rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran Honor Guard.
