Harlan D. Frederick, Jr.

Harlan D. Frederick, Jr. age 80, formerly of Greenfield passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Newark, Ohio. He was born March 12, 1938 in Gallipolis, OH to the late Harlan D. and Annis l. (Grover) Frederick, Sr. Harlan was a graduate of South High School in Columbus, OH and attended The Ohio State University. He served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1967. Harlan married Carol Jean Moore on October 1, 1987. He was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church and was a long-time Mason. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean; son, William (June) Kountz, Jr. of Georgia; daughters, Lynn (Michael) Brady, Jill (David) Hutchison, Tammy (Mike) Speed all of Ohio, Debbie Kountz of Florida; sister, Carolyn (Jack) Davis, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marjorie Frederick. Visitation will be 11 am 1pm, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service at 1 pm with Rev. Linda Brackney officiating. Burial with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
