Harold E Hurt

Harold E. Hurt June 24, 1928 - October 30, 2006 Harold E. Hurt, 78, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born June 24, 1928 in Scottsville, KY to the late Jake and Hazel (Levi) Hurt. He retired from Baker, McHenry, and Welch Construction in 1988. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church, Greenfield. He is survived by wife, Christine (Glass) Hurt of Indianapolis, whom he married August 1, 1949; daughters, Harola (Dale) Gentry of Russell Springs, KY, Karen (Hurt) Goodman of Waverly, OH; brothers; Jake ("Doc") Hurt, Wilbur Hurt, David Hurt, Robert Hurt, Richard Hurt; sisters, Charlotte Moore, Joyce Elmore, Nancy Cannon, Marsha Owens all of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Violet Vaught and Eleanor Pedigo. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Parker and Rev. Rick Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Wednesday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
