Dear Marks family: " Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Harry Lee and know I regret being unable to attend the services.
We were classmates at Greenfield. Although not buddies outside of school, my remembrances of him were as he grew into manhood.
Lee always had a warm, welcome greeting, smile, and handshake. We could tell, even then, he would be a man of stature, both physically and personally.
I never heard Lee speak ill of anyone and likewise, everyone I knew had the greatest respect for him.
I was glad to renew our acquaintance when he returned to the Greenfield area a few years ago. It was only then I learned he preferred the name Lee. We continued to run into each other infrequently, usually at restaurants around the area.
I am grateful to have had Harry Lee as a friend and sincerely regret not having the opportunity to have known him better. His passing was just weeks before our 45th high school class reunion, which I know he would have enjoyed.
Although we grieve the loss of ones so dear, we can but be thankful for having shared in the life of one whose tender remembrances will remain etched forever in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Roger Hall
