It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of
Heather Dawn Yates-Lightle of Greenfield, Indiana. She passed on
Saturday, October 24, 2020. She was 41 years of age.
Heather was born in Independence, Missouri on November 18, 1978.
She attended Blue Springs High School, Blue Springs, Missouri.
Heather loved music and played the flute in the Marching Band. As a little
girl, Heather loved to dress up. She also loved bossing around her
older brother Jason. She and younger brother Shawn doted on their baby sister Melodie.
Heather worked as a courier for Mideast Delivery Solutions. She loved animals
and was free spirited. She cherished her 4 children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Heather attended Sycamore Hills Baptist Church and was baptized in 1993 by Pastor Curt Weaver.
Heather relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1995 and later settled in Indianapolis to start her family.
Heather will be lovingly remembered by her children, David Yates (Destiny),
Devin Yates (Kaitlyn), Sophie Lightle, Dalton Lightle all of Indianapolis, IN;
parents Cynthia and Michael Timmons of Corydon, IN; siblings,
Jason Yates (Lisa) of Blue Springs, MO, Melodie Muffoletto (James) of Chicago, IL,
Shawn Yates (Sonia) of Sunbury, PA, Sabrina Helgeson (Tyler) of Harrisonville, MO;
paternal grandmother, Cella Yates of Surprise, AZ; grandmother,
Sue Timmons of Remington, IN; the love of her life, grandson, Liam Michael Yates;
several aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William David Yates, grandfather Earl Yates
and grandparents Oren and Nadine Wright.
A Prayer Service and Inurnment will be held in Blue Springs, Missouri at a later date, yet to be determined.
