Helen L. Byers January 24, 1925 - December 9, 2012 Helen Laveta Byers age 87, a resident of Greenfield passed away Sunday December 9, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born January 24, 1925 in Daviess County Indiana to the late Johnnie and Ina Mae (Hamilton) Stafford. Helen worked for Allisons Transmission as a Machine Operator and belonged to the American Legion in Shelbyville. She is survived by her sons Gene (Cheryl) Byers of Greenfield, Gregory (Jill) Byers of Indianapolis, sister, Hazel Ruth Mallette of Clearwater, Florida and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Gilbert L. Byers and sisters, Odonna Fisher, Joyce Clements, and Katherin Beasley. Visitation will be Thursday December 13, 2012 from 5-8pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home-Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be at 11 am Friday, December 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Shelbyville American Legion
