Helen "Dee" A. Dill August 15, 1926 - February 10, 2008 Helen A. "Dee" Dill, 81, of Greenfield passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Brandywine Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 15, 1926 in New Castle, Ind. to the late Charles and Lena (Simmons) Butterworth. Mrs. Dill was a graduate of University of Chicago and studied progressive jazz music at Butler University. She loved music and was a traveling musician throughout the U.S. and Canada and played with the Freddy Master Band from the mid 1940s until 1965. She was also a member of the Body of Christ Fellowship Church. Survivors include: Sons, Gary (Carmel) Dill of Fairland, IN and Herbie Dill of Greenfield; brother John Butterworth of Florida; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband George F. Dill and brothers Robert, Herbert and Charles Butterworth and Grandson Gerald Michael Dill. Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield, with Rev. Rudy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helen A.
