Helen Gwenevere (Hart) Brooks January 25, 1927 - July 15, 2010
Helen Gwenevere (Hart) Brooks, 83, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 in Indianapolis.
She was born January 25, 1927 in Bicknell, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Richard E. and H. Pauline (Hackett) Wineinger.
Helen retired as a social worker with the Hancock County Welfare Department, obtained an associates degree in ministry through World Harvest Bible College and was an ordained minister. She was a member of the House of Prayer Ministries in Lewisville, loved crafts, painting and playing the piano. She was a member of the Womens Flame Fellowship and the founder of the Ministry of Mercy.
She is survived by her husband, Norris "Ralph" Brooks of Greenfield; son, David (Sheri) Hart of Greenfield; daughters, Dianne (David) Todd of Lewisville, Susie (Bob) Lutz of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany), Nick (Sara), Caleb and Savannah Hart; Heidi Todd, Dawn (Aaron) Williams, Joshua, John, Hanna, Anna and Daniel Todd; Isaac and Ashley Lutz; great grandson, London; great granddaughter, Jazmia; several step- children, step- grandchildren and step- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Harvey Hart, 1992; sister, June Debeouf and a half-brother.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor David Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Comments Gwen was and awesome woman of God. I can remember many great conversations with her over the years. She will truly be missed, but Heaven has received a jewel " that is for sure...

To a very great lady. David, Dianne, and Susie I wish you the very best during these hard times of losing a parent. Having just lost my father I know the heartache you " must be feeling now. May god walk with you and get you thru this. The sunshine will be come out tomorrow and it will be a brighter day I was proud to call Helen (Hart) Brooks my friend.
